It's Our Sgt. Pepper is a CD of interpretations of the songs from the Beatles most famous album. The title is derived from music reviewers tendency to say things like "Pet Sounds was the Beach Boys' Sgt. Pepper..." Well, this is OUR Sgt. Pepper, literally (although we're not comparing it to Pet Sounds). The added twist to the story is that each of the tracks was recorded in isolation from the others; that is, except for Rich and Jeff, the masterminds behind the project, most of the other musicians didn't know an album was being recorded, just their individual song. We didn't find out until Rich gathered us together and played us the finished product. My reaction was as if Leggy Mountbatten had gone again- I was stunned...and shocked...and stunned- then amazed and overjoyed to have been a part of such a project.
