A Prompter version 2.3.4 Now Available

Watsonville, CA-11/15/10-Osborn Entertainment Software today released a new version of their teleprompting software for Mac OS X.  A Prompter is the easy and fun to use yet powerful software solution for your teleprompting needs.  Some features of A Prompter include the main capability of a smooth scrolling text window, along with many useful features such as full text editing with improved search capabilities, bookmarks, fine tuning of scroll speed, synchronized scrolling for karaoke, text file queues (linked files to be scrolled in series), styled text, non-verbal cues, horizontally and vertically flipped text, rotated text, scrolling with a picture or video background, save scroll to a quicktime movie, and much more.

Some uses of A Prompter are a video teleprompter for a TV studio or school media center, an informational public display, an easy way to read a text document without using your hands to scroll, creating a scrolling headline for a web page, a lyrics scroller and music player for karaoke, scrolling credits for a movie, and create a scrolling letter complete with pictures.

Fixes in this version add support for pasting and reading RTF files that contain accented Roman characters and other extended characters in the Macintosh character set. Fixes in the previous version include: cue mark loading (Intel); speed when clicking All buttton in Find window; playing chime (Intel); justified text; copy command in Edit window; RTF reader now decodes style information; cue mark transparency; and more.

New features in the previous version include: temporary scroll speed changes; progress bar; mouse scroll wheel control; copy and paste style information; find by text style; rectangular text selection; multiple text selections; quick return bookmarks; naming of bookmarks; improved help system; additional open at startup options; and more. This version now extends the demo time from 10 hours to 12 hours, enabling those who have tested previous versions to give this new version a try.

A Prompter is available now at the low price of $99 for a single user license, and a reduced $135 for an unlimited site license. There is also a reduced price available for educational institution purchases.  Registered owners of previous versions may upgrade to version 2.3.4 for free.
